On March 7, 2025, Mexican artist Fabian Chairez protests outside the San Carlos Academy in Mexico City, Mexico, against the recent censorship of his exhibition ''The Coming of the Lord,'' which is on display there. This provisional suspension is ordered on February 28 by Judge Francisco Javier Rebolledo Pena of the sixth court of the administrative district of the first circuit in Mexico City, within the indirect amparo trial number 257/2025. Initially, the exhibition is open to the public since February 5 and is scheduled to end on March 7. However, the aforementioned judge orders its closure, granting an injunction to conservative religious groups that claim the works violate their beliefs and ''religious freedom.'' The main painting in the series shows two altar boys licking a Paschal candle from which drops of wax fall as if it were sperm, in clear allusion to fellatio, and uses the double meaning of ''the coming'' to refer to ejaculation.

A demonstrator covers his head with bandages with slogans demanding the amendment of the Social Media Bill tabled in the federal parliament of Nepal on February 12, 2025, in Kathmandu, Nepal. The Bill proposes provisions for a license (with a two-year validity) for any companies, firms, or institutions to operate digital platforms and the renewal of the permission, granting the rights to authorities concerned to ban the operation of such platforms and remove content in violation of the terms and conditions. It also proposes conditions for the users of social sites. The opposition, as well as social media users, claim these provisions attempt to impose censorship and curtail basic human rights.
