Sunita Dangol, Acting Mayor of Kathmandu, participates in the annual ''Paha Chahre'' chariot festival in Kathmandu, Nepal, on March 19, 2026. In the local Newa: language, ''Paha'' means guest and ''Chahre'' means Chaturdashi. This day is also known as ''Pishach Chaturdashi.'' The Newa: community traditionally celebrates the Chaturdashi of Chaitra Krishna Paksha with joy and excitement.
