A member of Extinction Rebellion releases orange smoke after dropping a banner from the second story of the John Wilson building, where the Washington, DC city offices are located. For Earth Day, the group held a rally and march to protest against fossil fuels in general, and to demand specifically demanded that the city refuse to permit Washington Gas to expand its methane delivery infrastructure. She was removed by the DC Fire Department and immediately arrested by DC police. Extinction Rebellion declined to provide her name.
