Ousted Nepali Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal is gesturing while attending the welcome ceremony organized at his private residence by supporters and party cadres in Nepal, on July 12, 2024, after a failed vote of confidence motion tabled in parliament. Nepali Prime Minister Dahal is failing the vote of confidence and is being ousted from the position. Dahal, who has been in office for over one year and six months, is requiring 138 votes to pass the trust motion but is receiving only 63 votes in his favor. Out of the 275-member House of Representatives, 194 lawmakers are voting against him, while one member is abstaining. A total of 258 lawmakers are present during the meeting.
