December 15, 2015 file photo shows, An Iranian man walks through liquid natural gas (LNG) capsules placed on a road side in Malard county, about 60 km (37 miles) north west of Tehran. National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) public relations report quoted Majid Chegini, Deputy Minister of Oil and Chairman of NIGC, as saying: We have experienced a drop in temperature and pervasive cold in most of the country since the arrival of the cold weather system. According to him, about 700 million cubic meters of gas were consumed in the domestic and commercial sectors on January 12th 2023, an increase of over 150 million cubic meters from last year.
