Krakow's road sign is seen as Krakow, the second largest city in Poland, becomes the first Central and Eastern Europe city to announce a low emission zone and bans older cars, especially diesel from entering the city on December 21, 2024. Krakow topped global air pollution rankings earlier this week with NO2 frequently at five times the World Health Organization's air quality guidelines.
