The judges have voted 15 against 1 and are rejecting the request for an emergency order that would direct Germany to halt arms sales to Israel during a plausibly genocidal war against Palestinians in Gaza. The court is concluding that, at present, the circumstances do not require the exercise of its power to indicate provisional measures, ICJ President Nawaf Salam is writing in the ruling.
