Tracie Ross (right), youngest daughter of Chief Warrant Officer 4 Hershel Woodrow "Woody" Williams, Retired, the last surviving WWII Congressional Medal of Honor recipient, is escorted to her seat after laying a wreath next to the wall of stars at the World War II Memorial in his honor. Williams passed away June 29, 2022, at the age of 98. He earned the Medal of Honor during the Battle of Iwo Jima and served in the Marine Corps before a career at the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Hazem said that His wife was detained on 18 October 2015 at a checkpoint of Beit Hanoun "Erez" crossing in the northern Gaza Strip, though they leave the formal sector permits through the checkpoint. He pointed out that it lies in the Damon prison is still suspended and accused by the occupation authorities to carry out certain acts contrary to the laws of Zionism. He explained that his wife belong to the family of the occupied city of Haifa in 1948, and married in Gaza City in 1999, and gave birth to seven children, the oldest 15 years old, and the youngest was only two years.
