80th Anniversary Of The Roundup Of Rome's Jewish Ghetto
Victor Fadlun, the President of the Jewish Community of Rome, Roberto Gualtieri, the Mayor of Rome, Riccardo Di Segni, the Chief Rabbi of the Jewish Community of Rome, and Marco Impagliazzo, the President of the Community of Sant'Egidio, are attending the 80th anniversary remembrance of the Rome Ghetto raid on October 16, 1943. This event is taking place in Rome, Italy, on October 16, 2023. During the original raid, 1,259 members of the Jewish community, including 363 men, 689 women, and 207 children, were captured by the Gestapo. Out of these, 1,023 were deported to the Auschwitz concentration camp.
