Bidya Sundar Shakya elected Kathmandu mayor

Bidya Sundar Shakya of CPN-UML has been elected mayor of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City beating Raju Raj Joshi of Nepali Congress (NC) by over 22,000 votes. Shakya ssecured 68,961 votes while Joshi received 48,198 votes.
