Referendum violently interrupted by riot police
A man holds a carnation as a symbol of peace as State police is approaching to close down the Pau Claris polling station. Spanish State Police and Guardia Civil intervened in the morning at the IES Pau Claris polling station to interrupt the vote on Catalonia's independence. Some people were injured during the police's intervention even if people who came to vote stayed peaceful. Urns were seized by Guardia Civil. On 1st October 2017 in Barcelona, Spain.
