Ratargul Swamp Forest in Sylhet, Bangladesh

Adjacent areas of Ratargul Swamp Forest on April 2, 2015 in Sylhet, Bangladesh also gets dried up in this season. Some of the areas are being prepared by locals for fishery project. Ratargul swamp forest is one of the very few and only swamp forest in Bangladesh. People around this forest mainly live on the earning from tourism. Though during the monsoon lots of people come here to visit, rest of the year very few tourists visit this place. Round the year ferrying tourist and locals through the Ratargul Swamp forest by boat is one of the main income sources of the locals. During rest of the year people mostly shift to other business and looks for alternative income sources. Some of the locals do fishing in this forest for their living as well.
