Ratargul Swamp Forest in Sylhet, Bangladesh
A boy named Asgor (Age-9 yrs) sells chips and water to the tourists and earns living for him and his family as well in Ratargul Swamp Forest, on April 3, 2015 in Sylhet, Bangladesh. Ratargul swamp forest is one of the very few and only swamp forest in Bangladesh. People around this forest mainly live on the earning from tourism. Though during the monsoon lots of people come here to visit, rest of the year very few tourists visit this place. Round the year ferrying tourist and locals through the Ratargul Swamp forest by boat is one of the main income sources of the locals. During rest of the year people mostly shift to other business and looks for alternative income sources. Some of the locals do fishing in this forest for their living as well.
