Hydrometeorological Disaster In Central Sulawesi
Motorcyclists crossing a road whose sides collapsed due to river abrasion in Simoro Village, Gumbasa District, Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi Province, Indonesia on September 14, 2020. The only road that connects Palu City, the capital of Central Sulawesi Province with four other sub-districts Sigi Regency can only be passed by motorbikes and is in danger of breaking up due to river abrasion and if the rain intensity is still high enough, the other four sub-districts will be isolated. Sigi Regency is an area that is very vulnerable to hydrometeorological disasters because it consists of many rivers and mountain slopes as well as high rainfall every year.
