Based on data from the Women's National Commission, there were 406,178 cases of sexual violence in Indonesia throughout 2018, and 394 of them are sexual harassment in public spaces, including in public transportation facilities. PT. Indonesia Commuter Line Trains internally noted that there were 34 cases of sexual abuse that occurred on the train or in the station area throughout 2018.
