People dressed in WWII/Battle of Normady uniforms seen during the Parade of Liberation in the streets of Granville, a part of many events of the Operation Piper Cobra, on August 3, 2019, in Granville, Normandy, France. On June 6, 1944, General Dwight D. EISENHOWER, Commander-in-Chief Allied Commander (Chief of Staff to Supreme Allied Commander), nicknamed 'Ike', launched the D-DAY Operations, the beginning of the Battle of Normandy. On August 19, 1944 he installed his headquarters until September, the Suppression Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Force (SHAEF) in Jullouville, near Granville. All Allied Generals of the Battle of Normandy passed by Jullouville (Patton, Bradley, De Gaulle ...). Several events have been scheduled to commemorate 1944 events and pay tribute to the Liberators.

Operation Market Garden was one of the largest Allied operations of the Second World War. It took place on September 1944. At the time, the Allied Forces traveled from Belgium through several locations in the Netherlands, to finally end up in Nijmegen and Arnhem. The event started in the Belgian town of Leopoldsburg on September 14th. A military vehicle parade with around 600 army vehicles from the Second World War drove from the basecamp in Veghel to end in Nijmegen. This operation leads to the end of the Third Reich.
