Members of the FBI Evidence Response Team collect evidence following the discovery of a suspicious device on Odell Avenue in White Plains, New York, United States, on March 30, 2026. On Monday morning, March 30, 2026, the White Plains Police Department responded to a report of a possible transformer explosion in the area of Odell Avenue at approximately 4:28 AM. Units conducted checks of numerous transformers but found no evidence of damage. The situation changed at approximately 6:08 AM, when a White Plains police officer observed what appeared to be a small explosive device near the doorway of an apartment building at 11 Odell Avenue. Additional units established a perimeter, and residents in the vicinity were instructed to shelter in place as a precautionary measure. The device was successfully secured. Two people of interest are currently detained in the investigation.
