Full Flower Moon
Full moon behind Molfetta Cathedral, also called the Full Moon of Flowers, on May 5 in Molfetta. The full moon in May is also called the Full Flower Moon. The name comes from the traditional culture of Native Americans, who associated various significant events with this lunar phase. In the Algonquin tribe, one of the largest and most influential, the May full moon was associated with the floral beauty of spring, the season when many plants awaken from their winter torpor, allowing humans to admire their magnificent colors.
