Nuuksio National Park
Nuuksio National Park is within easy reach of Helsinki where you can escape into wild natural settings and enjoy typical Finnish scenery with lakes, forests and rugged crags. The stone-age artifacts found in Nuuksio and the surrounding area show that people were moving about in the region immediately after the end of the Ice Age. Stone-age people settled in the vicinity of the present national park, but there are no signs of settlements from that era in the park itself. Photographed April 27, 2023.
