Police Involved Shooting In Passaic, New Jersey On May 10, 2023

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes announces that on May 10, 2023 in Passaic, New Jersey, United States, the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office Shooting Response Team was activated due to an officer- involved shooting that occurred in the area of Passaic Avenue and Lackawanna Avenue in the City of Passaic. The initial investigation has revealed that on May 10, 2023, at approximately 7:29 p.m., Passaic Police responded to report of an individual firing a handgun. Upon arrival, they encountered an individual. One Passaic Police Officer discharged his serviced-issued firearm, striking the individual.
