A general view of the LHAASO Observation base, the world's largest high-altitude observatory for cosmic rays, in Luzhou City, Sichuan Province, China, June 7, 2023. The 1,188 Muse detectors and 5,216 electromagnetic particle detectors around the LHAASO observation base are evenly distributed and arranged in the spectacular ''LHAASO'' mound. It is reported that the national major science and technology infrastructure high altitude cosmic ray observatory LHAASO passed the national acceptance on May 10, 2023, its core scientific objectives are to explore the origin of high-energy cosmic rays and related cosmic evolution and high-energy celestial activities, and search for dark matter; Extensive search for gamma ray sources in the universe, especially in the Milky Way.
