Daily Life In Port-En-Bessin
PORT-EN-BESSIN, FRANCE - JUNE 08, 2023: View of sea foam near the pier in Port-en-Bessin-Huppain, Calvados, France, on June 08, 2023. Sea foam is formed when the wind is particularly strong and the sea is very rough. This foam is caused by the presence of a microscopic algae called Phaeocystis. Sometimes, this algae becomes abundant, forming a thin layer of gelatin-like substance. When the sea surface is agitated, the trapped air bubbles cause the foam to expand, creating this peculiar sight. (Photo by Artur Widak/NurPhoto)
