Statue of Liberty as seen from Brooklyn Bridge during the night with the lights from New Jersey visible and the ferry, the Liberty Island next to Ellis island National Museum of Immigration, just out of New York City, United States. The iconic illuminated copper statue is a monument reaching 93m above the sea and was dedicated on October 28, 1886. It was designed by French sculptor Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi and its metal framework was built by Gustave Eiffel, the sculpture was a gift from the people of France. Today it is a popular tourist attraction with thousands of daily visitors local US citizens and foreign tourists, a travel destination, landmark for NYC and the U.S. one of the most recognizable symbols in the world.
