LGBT+ Protest Outside Controversial “Hate” Church In Texas

Activists gathered outside the Pure Words Baptist Church in Houston, Texas Sunday morning, June 11, 2023, to publicly draw attention to the church's calls for violence against the LGBT+ community as well as a host of other groups. Dr. David Michael Smith, one of the demonstration's organizers, went on the record saying, ''we cannot accept so-called Christians calling for genocide, and we cannot accept armed neo-Nazis showing up to support these calls. 'Never again' means never again, and it is time for democratically-minded people from all walks of life to oppose the growing threat of fascism in this country.''
