Poland: Record SMOG figures in Krakow
A general view of the unhealthy smog visible over Krakow and Nowa Huta area from the Krakus Mound. The polllution in Krakow reached today a record-high levels of 494 µg/m3 between 1 and 2pm, a 10 times more that the norme figure of 50 µg/m3. Due to the high levels of pollutin in the last few days, the city of Krakow has made public transport (including both trams and buses) free today, but only for drivers who could show their valid vehicle registrations and thir companions as well.
