Rohu Fish Eggs Fry

The rohu, rui, ruhi or roho labeo (Labeo rohita) is a species of fish of the carp family, found in rivers in South Asia. Rohu Fish eggs are high in omega-3 fatty acids, eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), which have anti-inflammatory properties and are essential for improving brain and heart health. However, they are also rich in sodium and cholesterol, which can lead to high blood pressure, heart disease, and stroke if consumed in excess. In addition, fish eggs are high in purine. A traditional Bengali recipe is popularly known as fried Rohu Fish eggs on the bowl at Tehatta, West Bengal; India on 30/06/2023. (Photo by Soumyabrata Roy/NurPhoto)
