A person dressed as a lion inside the Chapultepec Zoo in Mexico City, which celebrated a century of existence and held a carnival in this emblematic space of the capital, where dozens of people dressed up as various species that inhabit this place. The Chapultepec Zoo was founded by the Mexican biologist and scientist Alfonso Luis Herrera. When it opened, the zoo had a collection of 243 animals. Currently it has 1,236 specimens of 222 different species of mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians, as well as a butterfly garden, a herpetarium and a museum dedicated to the salamander, a species endemic to Mexico.
