Protest anti-nuclear-proliferation in USA
WASHINGTON, D.C. — On Thursday, January 28, an anti-nuclear-proliferation vigil stationed alongside Pennsylvania Avenue in front of the White House has been there for more than 30 years making the peace vigil the longest-running act of political protest in the U.S. Concepcion Picciotto a Spanish immigrant known to many as “Connie” or “Conchita”, was the primary guardian of the peace vigil. Ms. Picciotto died on Jan.25, 2016 in a Women’s homeless shelter in Washington, D.C. She was believed to be 80 years old. (Photo by Cheriss May/NurPhoto)
