A Palestinian archaeologist works on a lead sarcophagus on July 16, 2023, the second to be unearthed at a Roman-era necropolis discovered in Gaza city in early 2022.-The Palestinian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities in the Gaza Strip announced the discovery of an archaeological coffin made of lead during search and excavation work inside the cemetery containing more than 60 tombs at the archaeological burial site.
