Market Symphony: Sound Art Exhibition
WASHINGTON, D.C. — On Tuesday evening, February 2, at the Smithsonian National Museum of African Art, Nigerian sound and video artist Emeka Ogboh stands in front of his exhibit, “Market Symphony”. Ogboh was commissioned by the museum to create a site-specific audio installation. The exhibition layers sound from a market in Lagos, Nigeria. The speakers are installed on enamelware trays which are often used in markets. The exhibit will be open from Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2016, through Sept. 24, 2016. | (Photo by Cheriss May/NurPhoto)
