Sécurité Civile of France Canadair CL-415 SuperScooper propeller amphibian aircraft with registration F-ZBFY and tail number 35, a water bomber firefighting airplane as seen on the tarmac of Rhodes International Airport RHO, of Rhodes island in Greece on July 28, 2023 while an orange firefighter helicopter is landing after fighting the fires, a Sikorsky S-64E Skycrane, from Erickson Air-Crane company which is under contract for the Hellenic Air Force and Fire department. The iconic chopper has the name Marty. It can release up to 9,500 litres of water in a single drop. The French aircraft and crew came as emergency additional force to fight the Rhodes wildfires as part of the EU Civil protection mechanism, a response to natural disaster.
