Cyprus : Sturgeon Moon Rises Over Nicosia
The Sturgeon Moon is seen behind a McDonald's sign, Nicosia, Cyprus, on Aug. 1, 2023. Since this full Moon is less than 12 hours before perigee (when the Moon is closest to the Earth in its orbit), this will be a supermoon.
