An Earthquake Occurred in Dezhou, China

DEZHOU, CHINA - AUGUST 6, 2023 - The wall of a residential house collapsed after an earthquake in the urban area of Pingyuan County, Dezhou, Shandong province, China, August 6, 2023. According to the China Earthquake Networks, a 5.5-magnitude earthquake occurred at 2:33 on August 6, 2023 in Pingyuan County, Dezhou City, Shandong Province (37.16 degrees north latitude, 116.34 degrees east longitude), with a focal depth of 10 kilometers. The epicenter was near Wangdaigua village, Wangdaigua Town, Pingyuan County. According to CCTV News, after preliminary investigation and verification, 126 houses collapsed in the epicenter, 21 people were injured, road traffic, communications, power supply and other conditions are normal, no oil and gas pipelines leak.
