Udawalawe Reservoir, Which Has Dried Up Due To A Lack Of Rain
Due to a lack of water, the ground of the reservoir exploded in Udawalawa, Sri Lanka, on August 12, 2023. Udawalawe Reservoir is a reservoir situated on the border of Ratnapura and Monaragala Districts, Sri Lanka. Located at the bottom of Udawalawe National Park, This reservoir has been constructed by constructing a long earth wall across the Walawe River. The Udawalawe Dam is a large irrigation dam in Udawalawe, in the Sabaragamuwa Province of Sri Lanka. A large number of people are gathering to see the Udawalawa Reservoir, which has dried up due to a lack of rain. Many farmers use the water obtained from this Udawalawa Reservoir to water their farms. At present, farmers are facing severe difficulties due to a lack of water.
