Action Against Ecocide And Water Wars
Ecologist activists from the newly born collective 'B.A.T' (Action Brigade of Toulouse) put a banner a banner reading 'Partners in crime of ecocide, they have declared water wars' on the Toulouse's war memorial. They organized this non-violent action to raise awareness about the inaction of the French government to protect water tables, drinkable water, and water as a whole as a common good. In their communique, they explain that the French state fails to protect water with projects such as the A69 (planned highway between Toulouse and Castres), the 'mega bassines' (giants reservoirs for irrigation filled with water from tables water) or carriers in the Garonne riverbed.
