Members of the Mexican army at the Heroico Colegio Militar facilities located in Tlalpan, Mexico City, during the ceremony marking the bicentenary of the Heroico Colegio Militar de Mexico. Created after the consummation of Mexico's independence, first as a Cadet Academy in 1822, and as a Military College a year later, this school made possible the military discipline that allowed Mexico to successfully resist subsequent invasion attempts, maintain its independence and decide its destiny.
