Spanish Women's League Players Go On Strike

Today the first day of strike in the Liga F took place, called by the players in disagreement with the economic conditions of women's soccer. The players ask for a collective agreement with a minimum salary of 25,000 euros. This amount has been rejected by the Professional Soccer League. For this reason, no match has been played, including FC Barcelona-Valencia CF. Only the referees, the representatives of both clubs and a representative of the F League staff have attended the Johan Cruyff stadium, in Barcelona, on 10th September 2023.
