A coalition of environmental NGO groups called for a boycott of Japanese products to stop the discharge of Fukushima nuclear contaminated water into the ocean on September 18, 2023 in Seoul, South Korea. The NGO Coalition hold a press conference in front of the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts in Seoul and restricted the boycott of Japanese products, claiming that public opinion in Japan would change if the boycott of Japanese products in Korea and China yielded results.
