New Jersey: Fair Lawn School District Sued By Former Secretary Alleging Sexual Harassment And Retaliation
Fair Lawn High School in Fair Lawn, New Jersey, United States on October 7, 2023. Fair Lawn School District faces lawsuit filed from a former secretary alleging she was groomed and sexually harassed by the business administrator, and then retaliated against when she filed a complaint. Wende Pettit, who served as an executive secretary for Fair Lawn Public Schools in 2016 claims that a business administrator who was hired in 2021 sexually harassed her in person and when sending hundreds of unwanted text messages. The lawsuit filed on September 29, 2023 accuses John Serapiglia of inappropriate conduct. Serapiglia is currently the business administrator for Linden Public Schools in Union County.
