80th Anniversary Of The Roundup Of Rome's Jewish Ghetto

Rome is remembering the raid of the Rome Ghetto on its 80th anniversary, which took place on October 16, 1943, in Rome, Italy. The Gestapo initially captured 1,259 members of the Jewish community, including 363 men, 689 women, and 207 children. Out of these, 1,023 were deported to the Auschwitz concentration camp. The official Remembrance March is being organized by the Community of Sant'Egidio, the Jewish Community of Rome, and Roma Capitale on October 16, 2023, in Rome, Italy.
