Manaus, 3rd Oct 2023 - Derli Leao and his mother live on a floating house, which is very common in the Amazon region. However, with the water level lower than ever, their home and the attached bar have been sitting on mud since early September. The lack of customers, who used to provide a gross income of $400 per day on weekends, has made it impossible for him to employ six people.
