Libya Dawn - Libyan Civil War
November 19, 2014 - Misrata, Libya - A tribute to those killed in fighting during the revolution which ended the 42 year rule of Colonel Ghadaffi along with some of Ghadaffi's personal artifacts. The musuem includeds photos of everone killled in the struggle for Libya and includes those killled in the current fighting against General Haftar and various extremist groups. The city is under firm control of local militias associated with the Libya Dawn movement and the National Salvation Government in Tripoli. Reconstruction is underway, and the government has made secuirty, from crime to extremism, its main priority. (Photo by Christopher Occhicone/NurPhoto)
