An effigy of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is being placed at a stadium while an Iranian-Sunni female member of the Basij paramilitary forces, wearing traditional dresses, is standing on the U.S. flag and an Israeli flag, during a ceremony marking Iranian-Sunni female martyrs in the seaport city of Bandar Turkmen, situated on the southeastern coast of the Caspian Sea, 410 km (256 miles) northeast of Tehran, on November 30, 2023. The Basij militia, which operates under the command of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), is organizing and holding the ceremony. (Photo by Morteza Nikoubazl/NurPhoto)
