The Last Council Of Ministers Of The XXIII Constitutional Governments

The Minister of Culture, Pedro Adao e Silva, is receiving a letter from the leader of the Journalists' Union and journalist from Jornal de Noticias (JN) and Global Media Group (GMG), Augusto Correia, upon his arrival at the last Council of Ministers of the XXIII Government Constitutional Laws at the Porto City Council, in Porto, Portugal, on December 7, 2023. The Global Media Group (GMG) is a holding company and one of the largest media groups in Portugal, with a presence in the press, radio, multimedia, and internet sectors. It is terminating 150 to 200 employees and moving forward with a restructuring of the news group. Journalists from the group, and especially from the newspaper JN, are going on strike, and for the first time in 135 years of existence, no newspaper was published. (Photo by Rita Franca/NurPhoto)
