Dismantling Mykola Shchors monument in Kyiv
KYIV, UKRAINE - DECEMBER 9, 2023 - A street sweeper removes snow from a bench in an alley leading to the monument to Bolshevik military commander Mykola Shchors in Tarasa Shevchenka Boulevard at night, Kyiv, capital of Ukraine. It took seven hours to remove the 7-ton monument which will be stored in a museum. Mykola Shchors was a Red Army commander who fought against the newly established Ukrainian government of the Ukrainian Peoples Republic in 1918-1919.NO USE RUSSIA. NO USE BELARUS.
