Pro-Gaza ceasefire activists arrested at Capitol
DC Fire assists a man who had scaled the Calder sculpture in the Hart Senate Office Building atrium, part of the U.S. Capitol complex. He and others were arrested in their call for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza and demanded that $14.3 billion in aid for Israel in the $106 billion budget supplemental be redirected to meet basic needs in the United States. Roughly 40 protesters from a variety of organizations, including Palestinians and U.S. military veterans were arrested. (Photo by Allison Bailey/NurPhoto)
