Lockdown At Fairleigh Dickinson University In Teaneck
A lockdown is in place at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, New Jersey, United States, on December 11, 2023. Authorities are lifting the lockdown Monday afternoon after reports of a person with a weapon in the Metropolitan Campus north parking lot. The school's Facebook post is alerting everyone that they can resume normal activities. The university is also announcing that ''police are continuing to patrol the campus.'' The Teaneck Police Department received a call from FDU security at about 10:32 a.m., reporting a possible individual with a gun by the Northpointe parking lot. According to a police statement, someone has told the officers that they were stopped by two individuals walking a dog who informed them about a potential shooter in the Northpointe parking lot before the dog walkers left.
