Traditional Carol Procession In Krakow

Participants are walking through the city streets in a traditional carol procession, ending the Year of Tetmajer, in Krakow, Poland, on December 28, 2023. Every year, this procession takes place, with participants dressed in costumes, carrying a star and accompanied by Torun, a monster that represents a horned, black, and hairy animal with a snapping mouth. They are heading to the Main Square, singing Christmas carols. This year, they are celebrating the Year of Wlodzimierz Tetmajer, a Polish painter and graphic artist, and the procession marks the culmination of this celebration.
