Attorney General of New Jersey Matt Platkin is holding a news conference to announce the death of Imam Hassan Sharif. Imam Hassan Sharif was pronounced dead following a shooting outside Masjid Muhammad Mosque in Newark, New Jersey, on January 3, 2024. At approximately 6:16 a.m. on Wednesday morning, police responded to the mosque on South Orange Avenue and Camden Street.
