Animal India - Common Baron Butterfly - Euthalia Aconthea

The Common Baron (Euthalia Aconthea) Or Simply Baron Is A Medium-sized Nymphalid Butterfly Native To Sri Lanka, India, And Southeast Asia. This Butterfly Has A Stiff Flap Glide Style Of Flying. The Wing Is Not Flapped Very Far Below The Horizontal. It Flies At Low Heights And Maintains A Territory. The Baron Is A Relatively Common Urban Butterfly, Mainly Because Of Its Host Plant, Mango (Mangifera Indica). Common Baron Butterfly Caterpillars Have Great Camouflaging Ability. They Quite Literally Become One With The Leaf. The Caterpillars Become Active At Night, Which Is When They Feast On The Mango Leaves.
